Porcellio laevi's "Panda"
Porcellio laevi's "Panda"
Porcellion laevis are a very good ground police (especially in combination with springtails) and a food source for reptiles and amphibians. The panda woodlice are active during the day and can be easily observed during their activities. Porcellio laevis have a wide and flat body, which is light gray to milky white and has varying degrees of dark spots.
As a soil substrate, we recommend a mixture of white rotten wood, terrarium soil, deciduous forest humus and leaves.
Moss, pieces of bark or pieces of cork can be placed on the substrate, as can leaves. This offers the woodlice, among other things, places to retreat and food.
