Cyriocosmus elegans
Cyriocosmus elegans
Cyriocosmus elegans belongs to the dwarf tarantulas, they are among the smallest tarantulas. They grow quickly and are adults after 1.5 years - 2 years. Cyriocosmus elegans is a ground-dwelling tarantula, we recommend making sure that the tarantula has enough substrate. Care should also be taken to ensure that the substrate has a slight basic moisture content and does not dry out. The tarantula grows up to 1.5 cm - 2 cm and has a heart on its abdomen, this gave the dwarf tarantula the common name "Valentine Tarantula".
Since the dwarf tarantulas are quite small, we recommend feeding them white woodlice and later larger woodlice, especially at the beginning. With micro crickets, you should make sure that they are dead beforehand, otherwise it could happen that the cricket eats the dwarf tarantula.
