Aphonopelma seemann
Aphonopelma seemann
The striped Guatemalan tarantula (Aphonopelma seemanni) comes from Central America. It is a ground-dwelling spider and prefers to live in dry forests and grassy steppes. Aphonopelma seemann has a striking double cream-colored stripe pattern on the tibia and patellae, as well as a light beige colored underside of the abdomen and spinnerets. A. seemann like to dig up the entire terrarium, but they are classic ground dwellers.
All in all, a great and generally calm spider.
